While there is a point that most people's hair will stop growing at that isn't under your control, there are other reason that growing your hair longer might not be working. Another reason for your hair to stop growing is because of the lack of nutrition, to grow your hair long you need extra nutrition, so you will need to eat healthier and make sure you are getting the correct vitamins that help promote healthy hair growth. These can be gotten from foods and also you can take supplements to get the vitamins you need.
On the other hand, your hair may still be growing even though it doesn't appear to be, this is because your hair can break off so often that by the time the hair grows back to the length that it was more hair is breaking as well. This results in your hair staying consistently a similar length.
Causes of this can be over use of heating tools in your hair, bleaching, highlights and dying of your hair. Also complex hair styles, weather damage, and not conditioning your hair can lead to breakage as well.
